Welcome to the AWC Scholarship Program


Since its inception in 1995, the AWC Scholarship Program has supported more than 9,700 students across rural Thailand through this sponsor-driven program. Our mission is to advance the educational knowledge of disadvantaged female Thai high school students by providing supplemental financial assistance. We also partner with the students by providing encouragement to develop English-language skills to further their educational opportunities.

Scholarship Fundraising Drive
For the 2024 Thai school year AWC's goal is to provide 275 girls a chance to attend high school. Our thanks to all our AWC Scholarship Sponsors. We accept donations all year. Choose how to make your donation. 


A scholarship sponsorship covers most educational expenses for one year, enabling a student to further her education. The fees for books, uniforms, supplies, meals and transportation are all the responsibility of the student’s family. These extra expenses are a real burden for most families in rural communities in Thailand.

About the Scholarship Program:
Supporting the Scholarship Program is a chance to contribute and help education development in Thai society, targeting  young women who are from poor families and who have good academic performance. The support encourages these young women to continue and complete their education at least in the high school level. The Scholarship Program’s work includes:
• Sponsorship Drive and Donor communications
• School Visits and student Art Contest

Our appreciation goes to the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast for their ongoing support.

2024 marks the 28th year of the Scholarship Program! It is something we are very proud of. We believe we have made a difference in the lives of so many students in Thailand. Through school visits we have heard many success stories of our scholarship students returning to the province after completing their university education to teach in the local schools.

The program is run by volunteers who believe that there is a great need for providing financial assistance to the girls living in the small towns and villages to enable them to complete their high school education. Scholarships and Awards:

The AWC Scholarship Program awards scholarships annually to at least 200 students in 28 targeted schools across rural Thailand. Eligibility criteria for young women in grades 10-12 (M4-M6) are good academic performance (> 2.5GPA), a low family income, good behavior and a commitment to education while building a sustainable community. Each student is awarded 5,000 baht per year for school-related expenses their families often cannot afford. Your charitable donation is an investment in the students ~ the important work of our program. Another great opportunity to give and connect to our future!
