REDISCOVERING BANGKOK

Have you heard about the Tuesday/Thursday Market (aka University Market), and wondered where it was and the types of things sold there? If so, come on a walking tour of two markets along Asoke. Or simply spend time with friends.

First, we’ll make a quick stop at the Asoke wet market. The wet market has some good vegetable vendors that often carry western vegetables at reasonable prices. The Tuesday/Thursday Market has a little bit of everything ~ from fresh fruits & vegetables to prepared foods to clothing to jewelry and household items. You’ll be provided with a general map of the Tuesday/Thursday Market with some of the favorite vendors of those who’ve been in Bangkok for awhile.  

Depending on the size of our group, and shopping interests, we’ll break into groups to go shopping and meet up afterwards at an adjacent coffee shop.

Time 9:00–11:00am

Location: Meet near Asoke BTS station/Sukhumvit MRT Station. Full meeting location will be provided after you register.

Cost: 200 baht Member; 220 baht Nonmember
Your child(ren) may attend with you at no additional cost.
